Field Note: The Alert Is Not the Unit
A short note preserving the first reliability idea for later expansion.
Alerts are necessary, but they are often the wrong unit for learning.
The alert says something happened. The pattern says why it keeps happening, who feels it, where it concentrates, and what kind of fix would change the next occurrence.
That shift from alert to pattern is a candidate beautiful point for the first reliability essay.
